Private animal reserve Lion Sands is located in the southern part of the larger (approximately 65 thousand Hectares) Sabi Sand nature reserve. It lies on the river Sand. The area around the home to many species of wildlife. A place like this is hard to find in all of South Africa. Many animals migrate often from very remote areas just in search of access to life-giving water. Sabi River is also known, and the fact that it is the habitat for a lot of crocodiles.

Within the reserve are two lodges, offering guests excellent conditions for observing wild African wildlife. Both lie on the banks of the Sabi and they offer a magnificent view of the exceptionally scenic areas around the river.

The first is Ivory Lodge, in the squad, which includes 6 ultra-luxury mini-villas with an area of ​​165 square meters, decorated like the best apartments in the five-star hotel. Each villa is equipped with bathroom, showers inside and outside, bedroom, living room with fireplace, mini-bar, wooden porch, patio and private pool. Air-conditioned bedroom and bathroom certainly appreciated by those who suffer from the nagging African heat.

Next to the villa, in the lodg’u includes a reception, dining room, wine cellar, spa center and a gift shop.

The second lodge in the reserve River Lodge. It consists of 18 luxury cottages covered braided African-roof, each with its own bathroom, internal and external shower and a wooden veranda. All have minibars and safes. Next to the cottages for guests in the camp consists of: a living room with dining area and bar, a spa center, conference room, 2 swimming pools and a gift shop.

Guests of both lodge’ów, except of course the possibility of relaxation in comfortable conditions, have the opportunity to watch the animals living in close proximity to the reserve. Lion Sands directly borders the Kruger Park, and the animals can move freely around the area.

Due to the fact that it is a private reserve and national park travel on off-road vehicles (open) is not restricted to designated roads and trails, as happens in national parks. As a result, they have a better chance of meeting wild animals.
