Formula 1

Every year, in late May, Monaco experiences madness Formula 1 racing. The fans of fastest cars in the world are rushing in droves to cheer for a few days driver’s favorite in the fight for victory in the most prestigious of contemporary racing cars. Tiny, casual, calm principalityGrand Prix vibrant. During the day we all admire the masterful top lap pilots like Schumacher, Barrichello and Villeneuve, and in the evening play in the endless party in bars or on yachts, mandatory after dinner at one of the many fine local restaurants. The most common and cheapest way to watch in Monte-Carlo’s famous racing is to secure a ticket to one of the stands along the route. People who like comfort and able to afford it watching F1 races from the balconies of apartments available for consideration by their respective owners or from the terraces of restaurants and hotels, the infamous Hotel De Paris included.

Monaco has a great port, so you can enjoy the race from the deck of one of the incredible yachts moored here. Undoubtedly, additional attraction during these few days are also provide opportunities of “communing” with lots of luxury cars, some of which come to Monte-Carlo visitors. The number of automobiles includes; Ferrari, Aston Martin or Lamborghini which is almost surreal – we meet them at every step. Many a motoring enthusiast whom sees them revolves with a tear in the eye, and those who already have one of these cars, at the sight of these specimens are beginning to dream of a model or yearbook other than their own.

The thing that most fascinates most F1 fans and, generally speaking, fans of four peg, of course, is the speed of cars. Hardly anyone knows that at the Côte d’Azur, less than two hours from Monaco, dreams can come true for the fast driving and yourself for a day or two, to become an F1 pilot. This allows the center AGS F1 in the Var, who runs day * courses of instruction for amateurs. We can try our skills at driving F1 cars and F3 and experience sensations until now reserved only for professional drivers of this exclusive sport. Although AGS center is located on the main highway leading from Monaco to Marseille hit to it is not so simple. If we are going to start our stay on the Cote d’Azur of course AGS or came here mainly for this purpose, it is a recommended solution to fly to the place by helicopter from Nice airport.

It’s nice to start a day trip from accommodation in nearby Saint-Tropez, and then early in the morning to move the car Var. For arriving participants, the organizers welcome them with a light, tasty breakfast and get them acquainted with the crew. The elegant dressing is loaned to them including a special suit, boots, gloves and helmet – equipment necessary for driving. The next step is theoretical. The instructors, among which teachers meet the biggest stars of the sport, leading classes preparing us for a ride, getting acquainted with the technical and way of conducting F3 cars.

Employees AGS courses provide participants with the maximum level of security. Not only give the best quality at the disposal of the machine (incidentally, produced on-site in a factory AGS), but will not allow to people to race if they have doubts as to their understanding of all the detailed explanations and instructions. Finally, a magical moment – F3 cars are for beginners to start. Weight 440 kg, 180 hp and … we begin our adventure! For starters – three series of test laps around the F3 track. After each of these instructors provide the necessary advice. This is followed by a series of 17 consecutive laps. After a break for a meal is done instructions for F1 are held and again we go! F1 cars weigh 505 kg and have the minimum power of 650 hp (for comparison: the “normal” Ferrari 360 Modena car weighs 900 kg and has 440 hp). It’s an amazing feeling to lead such a machine: the transition from a speed of 100 to 200 km / h takes only two seconds! For those with strong nerves and a unique passion for speed I suggest buying a few rides in the car doubled with a professional driver. It will definitely be something to remember.

After the end of the journey, the organizers of the course participants hand out diplomas and gifts. The drink is of course applicable champagne. AGS F1 courses are worth recommending not only for the many individual enthusiasts. It is an excellent choice for companies wanting to treat unusual incentives to their employees. It is interesting that they enjoy great popularity among the fairer sex. Apparently the ladies do not like to develop maximum speed, but run very well – dutifully execute the orders instructors and are very focused while driving. Arrival on instructional course in the Var can be a great opportunity to discover the charms of Provence or excuse to re-visit it. After all, the famous town of Saint Tropez with its many attractions is just a half hour away.

* Course can take two days or more, depending on what his level and options you choose (how many laps F1 as F3).
