This beautiful tropical island in the Caribbean Sea, though it’s ​​name (Portuguese “Bearded”, is derived from the long aerial roots characteristic of the island figs resembling a beard) brings to mind associations with the distant exotic, the State subject to the English crown, where the exotic is somewhat familiar. The official language is English, and almost all the inhabitants of the island speak it, while their second language is an interesting surprise – a combination of African with English words.

Barbados is famous for its excellent rum and flying fish, but do not expect to taste the specialties on the weekend, because on Saturdays and Sundays island is on holiday for everyone to enjoy! Barbados is only 13 degrees from the equator, so the local sun extremely quickly allows you to get a nice tan – provided that the sun thirsty tourist never forget strong sun protection.

The islanders are friendly people, although you should expect a certain reserve but exceptional politeness.
