The population inhabits a 700 year old small town (only 1,400 inhabitants), which is known as one of the best places in Austria for skiing. It is located at an altitude of approximately 1450 m. above sea level between the surrounding peaks that form a magnificent panorama in both summer and winter. Despite international reputation, Lech has never lost its unique character, traditional building, harmonious and peaceful atmosphere are among others, some of its luxuries due to limitations of traffic.
