Camp Gorah is located in the heart of Ado National Park, inhabited by enormous herds of elephants. It is a very safe place, with no risk of malaria. There are eleven spacious tents that look like the exploration of the Black Continent in the early twentieth century. Luxury thatched tents are set around a charming colonial mansion, built in 1856 and restored to its former glory.

Located at each residence veranda you can admire the endless African plains and discreet staff will take care of comfort and vitality of guests. Meals are served by candlelight in the elegant dining room, located in the aforementioned colonial mansion or on the verandas with tents. The air is filled with magical silence, broken only by gargling water at a waterhole, where animals satisfy their thirsts. Guests can also, if the weather is good, experience the African tradition of cooking and dining under the stars.

Perfect getaway will provide warmth of the fireplace in the living room mansion, and it’s cool rock pool with sun terrace. More activities will be provided, such as horseback riding through the bush. At the meeting with the herds of elephants, guests can travel on foot or by jeep, but always accompanied by qualified guides.

Surrounding the camp is the best place in Africa to admire these majestic animals. There will also be an opportunity to admire and other animals, for example. Mighty African buffalo, black rhino, lions and leopards, antelope and several species of rare birds and endangered insects. Recently a group of animals living in the area have joined hyenas whose distinctive “laughing” stands out among the peaceful rhythm of the sounds of the bush.
