Bwindi rain forest is the only place on earth where wild herds of big mountain gorillas live. These powerful creatures are the biggest human relatives, sharing with him 98% of the genetic code. What is amazing about contact with gorillas is the way in which they live – so reminiscent of human. They wander in families, which is headed by a mature male with grizzled fur, often called silverbacks.

It decides the place to spend time and night-time by females and young in the event of an attack and is willing to sacrifice his own life to defend his charges. Despite their enormous power mountain gorillas are not aggressive animals unless in confrontation with an enemy, trying to banish him. Provoked, they can become deadly to humans.

Like humans, gorillas enjoy loving care of their children, whose first years of life are passed in fun. These animals is need much living care, because the female throughout their lives usually only produce two offspring. This is an extremely intelligent creature, which in captivity even managed to master simple language characters. Bwindi forest reserve is one of the few habitats of these creatures. Persistent efforts to protect this endangered species are slowly bringing successful results.

The camp was built on a high hill Ntego, overlooking the rainforest Bwindi, in the summer of 2008 they received their first guests. The complex has eight luxury colonial bungalows, built out of volcanic rocks and other natural materials. You will find a veranda from which you can admire an unforgettable view of the forest and the Virunga volcanoes. Fireplaces contained therein will survive even the cold of the African night.
