Navy blue and gold carriages of the legendary train Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will expect you in Paris at the Gare de l’Est, where you begin an unforgettable journey through France, Switzerland, and Austria to Budapest. A route traveled by your grandparents in the beginning of the last century. Here time seems to have stopped. After staying in Budapest, we offer sightseeing and then continue the journey through Hungary to Romania.
Another day and night you will spend in Bucharest. The next morning the train will embark on a further route, stopping along the way in the picturesque Bulgaria. Last night and day on board the train that is heading now towards the end station, Istanbul.
Travel program:
Day 1.
In the afternoon, accommodation of train travelers in Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Personal steward will accompany every guest to a private compartment. Relax with afternoon tea and in the evening a wonderful dinner in the restaurant car.
Day 2.
The morning will greet travelers with stunning views of the Hungarian puszta. In a moment the steward will give participants of this extraordinary expedition breakfast served to your compartment. During lunch, dining car serves a la carte.
Upon arriving to Budapest, transportation to a luxury hotel. Dinner in town and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3.
After breakfast in the hotel, meet the guide and visit the city. Lunch during sightseeing.
The city is divided by the River Danube into two parts: Buda and Pest. Back on the train late afternoon. Bar restaurant serves evening aperitifs, which precedes dinner. Overnight in the train.
Day 4.
After breakfast, the train arrives situated in the mountains of the town of Sinaia. Passengers go out to explore the beautiful Peles Castle, which in 1883 housed the guests first passengers Orient-Express.
Back on the train and a short drive to Bucharest. Upon arrival, transportation to the Athenee Palace Hilton Hotel, where dinner will be served. In the afternoon a short city tour. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5.
Back on the train early in the morning, drive south to Bulgaria.
In the afternoon, the train stops in the most charming corners of Bulgaria. Lunch and dinner on the train, during transit to Turkey.
Day 6.
Early in the morning, the train crosses the Turkish border. After breakfast and lunch served on the train, the Orient-Express enters into Istanbul, where it ends this fascinating journey through seven countries.
