VLADIVOSTOK – MOSCOW

The route Vladivostok – Khabarovsk – Ulan-Ude – Lake Baikal – Irkutsk – Novosibirsk – Yekaterinburg – St.Petersburg – Moscow

Day 1. Vladivostok
A meeting with a company representative at the airport and then transportation to a four-star hotel Hyundai. Welcome dinner at the hotel.

Day 2. Vladivostok
City tour previously closed to foreigners, and especially its military activities. In the evening, drive to the station and start the trip by train Trans-Siberian Express.

Day 3. Khabarovsk
After a morning arrival in Khabarovsk visit to the Museum of Natural History. Back to the train and continue the journey towards the west, near the border with China.

Day 4-5. On the train
All day on the train you will fully appreciate the spacious and comfortable interior compartments and fine dining.

Day 6. Ulaan-Baatar
Trans-Siberian adventure takes us into Mongolia and a visit to its capital, Ulaan Baatar. Mongolia, once the very centre of an enormous empire led by Genghis Khan, is a country of beautiful landscapes, nomadic people and rich in culture and history. Mongolia is famous for its endless green Steppes, grazing livestock and white, nomadic Gers (Yurts) dotted all across the countryside.

We start the tour at Gandan Monastery, one of Mongolia’s most important Buddhist Monasteries housing a community of over 500 monks. The full name, Gandantegchinlen, translates as ‘the great place of complete joy’. At Chinggis Square (formerly Sukhbaatar Square) we can see the central monument to Genghis Khan, undoubtedly the most feared and revered Mongol, and visit the National Museum where we learn about the country’s intriguing history.

We also have the opportunity to visit a traditional Ger and meet a nomadic family.

Day 7. Ulan Ude
In the afternoon arrival in Ulan Ude, the capital of the Republic of Burłackiej. Visiting a local Buddhist temple, ride a bus to the village of followers of the old faith. The day will finish with a performance by local dancers and musicians.

Day 8. Lake Baikal
Coming numerous tunnels and skirting cliffs, the train reaches the shoreline of the largest lake in the world – Lake Baikal. Intended stop in one of the bays of the lake and a barbecue on the banks. For adventurers the opportunity to swim in the lake, but keep in mind that even in summer the water temperature does not exceed 10 degrees Celsius. Next on the agenda is a visit to the small village of Listvyanka located in the hills. Return to the train for dinner and departure on its way.

Day 9. Irkutsk
Morning arrival in Irkutsk, a city called Paris of Siberia. Tour local museums, getting to know the local culture, and classic wooden architecture.

Day 10. On the train
Relax and rest in between. The train passes through Krasnoyarsk and heads toward Novosibirsk.

Day 11. Novosibirsk
The stop of the train in the city and invitation to passengers to watch the famous Opera House, Lenin Square and River Ob, whose length is over 5,600 km., from the same source to the Arctic.

Day 12. Yekaterinburg
This last on the Asian side of the city, the capital of the Urals, separates Europe from Asia. The program exploring the place of execution Czarist Romanov family and the Museum of Minerals Urals.

Day 13. Suzdal
The pastoral town of Suzdal is one of Russia’s most perfectly preserved walled cities dating back to 1024 and is located 22 miles (35 kilometres) from Vladimir. Here we visit the atmospheric St. Euthymius Monastery to witness an enchanting choral performance by the resident monks.

Day 14. Moscow
Morning arrival to Moscow – end of Trans-Siberian journey. Transfer to a five-star Ritz-Carlton. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15. Moscow
After breakfast full day tour of this remarkable city, including Kremlin and Red Square.Transportation to the international airport and the return flight to your country.
