PRIVATE SAFARI – 13 DAYS

PRIVATE SAFARI – 13 DAYS

Uganda is a country of contrasts. Half a day you can drive among volcanic mountains swathed in mist into the hot savannahs rich in wild animals, see the rolling hills of tea plantations, jungle and rainforest – all to the accompaniment of singing birds.

Huge clumsy elephants disappear behind the trees like mist, chimpanzees crash into the vault of trees, melancholy gorillas busily chewing on bamboo leaves, tiny birds flutter their wings, iridescent in the morning sun. Nile meanders like a ribbon through the semi-desert scorched stone scattered among the hills. Snow-covered peaks, hot sandy beaches on the lake, smiling faces – it’s all here, a treat for all the senses.

Let us show the Uganda that we know and love.

This is Africa, how it should be!

Day 1.
Upon arrival at the airport in Entebbe guests will meet with a local guide who will take you to your hotel in Kampala.

Emin Pasha Hotel is set amidst lush gardens, occupying the entire hectare. Though far from here to the business district of Kampala, because you can walk, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The hotel was built and delightfully restored in colonial fashion. It has 20 bedrooms, a swimming pool, a library, two lounge areas and massage rooms. Fez Brasserie and Wine Bar offers fine cuisine and a large selection of South African wines.

Day 2.
A guide will transport you to Entebbe, where you will be a flown to Kidepo Park Nardowego. Near the airport is Apoka Lodge of ten large tents with wooden floors, decorated with comfortable furniture. The camp is situated in the hills, it offers a magnificent view of the plains and the jagged peaks of the mountains on the horizon.

Service is by local community representatives, staying in Apoka Lodge is thus a truly unique opportunity to know the natives. Tents decor is minimalist, but very carefully designed. King size beds, seating sent cushions, lightweight summer bedding, Egyptian cotton towels provide guests with comfort and excellent cuisine will satisfy even high demands. In the afternoon a choice expedition to the vicinity of the camp or relax in the swimming pool carved in granite boulders. Bathers have a fantastic view of the valley Naruse, through which herds of animals roam the waterhole. Overnight in Apoka Lodge (FB).

Day 3.
This morning, as soon as the sun rises over the top of Mount Morongole, flooding the valley of the sun, guests eat breakfast before a full day trip to the national park.

Expeditions in Apoka are directed by nature, not time, so we will slowly move routes to fully appreciate what surrounds us. We will go the tracks of animals to find them, and then track their journey. We can go to track lions, cheetahs (always staying near zebras), antelope, guźców, patas monkeys, and herds of buffalo. There will also be time for a picnic-style lunch and cold drinks in the shade of the trees, waiting for the appearance of elephants and giraffes. Bataleur Eagles will soar over our heads during the afternoon return to the camp. Overnight in Apoka Lodge (FB).

Day 4.
Today, we have a picnic on the banks of the river dry Kidepo with the sound of Borassus palm leaves in the background. Rose Ringed Parakeets are often seen here – their incredible iridescent green plumage can be seen only in Uganda.

The return trip takes a different route to the hills and valleys of Labwor Hills, where the water recedes. We’ll see Rock Hyrax – the area in which Klipspringer antelope and leopards live. Return to the camp for a refreshing dip in the pool or hot tub under the stars before dinner. Late in the afternoon you can watch traditional dances Karimajong. Overnight in Apoka Lodge (FB).
