ROVOS RAIL, THE ROUTE PRETORIA-DURBAN, 3 DAYS

Travel the pride of Africa, an exclusive colonial train through the beautiful scenery of southern Africa is a unique experience. Sophisticated interior entertainment wagons embrace travelers in a warm, cozy atmosphere and service will ensure a pleasant journey. The three-day itinerary, full of wonderfully scenic landscapes and encounters with wild animals in their natural environment fills weekend travelers, who will long be remembered.

Day 1.
The journey begins in the morning on the historic train station Capital Park. When the train set off on tour, travelers will be able to relax in their cabins or observe landscapes that escape through the windows of the observation car, located in the rear part of the train set.

In the afternoon around 13:00 the train reaches the Drakensberg Mountains in the restaurant car will be given lunch. Late in the afternoon the train enters the extremely picturesque stretch of cliff on the slopes of the Drakensberg Mountains, the highest hills of Africa – Majuba Hill. Dinner is served in the restaurant car and around midnight the train stops at the station Elandslaagte, where it will wait until dawn.

Day 2.

In the morning the train will start from the station and guests will be served breakfast, during which guests will be approaching the next scenic spots. At lunch time you will leave the train to go on a 40 minute journey to Spionkop Lodge.

After arriving in the afternoon to reserve Spionkop, guests venturing out on safari to admire species of wild animals that live in the reserve. In the evening, return to the train for dinner.

Day 3.

In the morning, a dining car will be serving breakfast on the way to the Lions River station. Around 10:00 you go to experience the famous Ardmore Ceramics gallery. Then, the train will depart towards Durban – during the journey, guests will enjoy from the windows breathtaking views of the Valley of a Thousand Hills (Valley of a Thousand Hills). Late afternoon train to reach their destination – Durban, where guests will be bidden farewell.

Rovos Rail travel costs: 1,300$ per person in a double Pullman compartment.
The price includes all meals, drinks alcohol, and tours on the itinerary.
