NAADAM FESTIVAL, MOSCOW – ULAAN BAATAR, 13 DAYS/12 nights

If you want to experience the unique culture of Mongolia you should take part in the Festival: Supersonic. The word “supersonic” means “three men’s games” and the festival is known as one of the oldest festivals – contests in the world. It consists of three disciplines: archery, wrestling and horse riding.

It takes place in the capital of Mongolia – Ulan Bator during national holidays from 11 to 13 of July.The festival also commemorates the revolution of 1921, when Mongolia became a free country. In smaller villages in Mongolia Supersonic festivals are also held, but on a smaller scale. You have the unique opportunity to experience this wonderful festival and luxury train travel.

Day 1. Moscow
The welcome at the international airport in Moscow, then transportation to a five-star Marriott Royal Aurora hotel located in the city center. Welcome dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2. Moscow
Full day tour of the capital of Russia with regard to the Kremlin and Red Square. Ride to the train station, where the Trans-Siberian Express isready for an evening departure.

Day 3. Kazan
Last day on the train. Passing through Kazan, historic city located on the river Volga.

Day 4. Yekaterinburg
Drive from Europe to Asia. Sightseeing lying on the border between the continents. Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Urals, a place of exile and execution Czarist Romanov family. We cross the border from Europe to Asia.

Day 5. Novosibirsk
The train will stop in this city, and passengers will be invited to watch the famous Opera House, Lenin Square and River Ob, whose length is over 5,600 km, from the same source to the Arctic.

Day 6. On the train
The train goes by pretty mountains Sajan, passing Novokuznetsk and Abakan. For volunteers Russian language lessons.

Day 7. Irkutsk
Morning arrival in Irkutsk, known as the “Paris of Siberia”. Visit the main attractions. In the afternoon free time allows shopping in the local market.

Day 8. Lake Baikal
Coming through numerous tunnels and skirting cliffs, the train reaches the shoreline of the largest lake in the world – Lake Baikal. Intended stop in one of the bays of the lake, on the banks will be organized a barbecue. Next on the agenda is a visit to the small village Listvyanka adjacent to the surrounding hills. Return to the train for dinner and departure on his way.

Day 9. Ulan Ude
Morning arrival in Ulan Ude, the capital of the Republic of Burłackiej. Visiting a local Buddhist temple, then ride a bus to the village of followers of the old faith. The day will finish with a performance by local dancers and musicians.

Day 10. Ulaan Baator
In the morning the train reaches the capital of Mongolia – Ulan Bator. Visiting the monastery Ganda, then travel and accommodation at the hotel. Free time will know the preparations made by the Mongols at the start of the festival. The opportunity to participate in an organized excursion for visiting the nearby Terelj National Park.

Day 11. Ulaan Baator
The opening ceremony of the festival Naadam. This day is an official public holiday. That day, they held the opening ceremony, archery and horse racing over a distance of 33 km.

Day 12. Ulaan Baator
The first half of the day will take wrestling competitions. Optional sightseeing opportunity to participate in the local monasteries, the National Museum or the Natural History Museum.

Day 13. Ulaan Baator
Breakfast at the hotel and transportation to the airport where you will fly to your country.
