A small town and winter sports center located in the northern Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige, about 60 km. north of Lake Garda. The village is picturesquely situated in Val Rendena at an altitude of 1522 m. above sea level surrounded by the Dolomites mountain region. It is most often frequented by skiers for its prestigious ski resort, it offers a splendid view of Mount Presanella and slopes Gruppo di Brenta. It is a paradise for less advanced skiers and supporters of the atmosphere of large resorts.

Madonna Di Campiglio is known for hosting yearly competitions in alpine skiing. Special slalom competitions take place at one of two opposite slopes: 3 Tre route or the route of the Monte Spinale. Slopes of Monte Spinale belong to a larger system of ski trails leading to the highest ski slopes in the area located on the Passo del Grosté. In the same town and in the immediate vicinity there are 57 lifts allowing the use of 150 km. of perfectly groomed ski runs of varying difficulty (capacity of over 31 thousand people per hour). The region offers one of the 5 best snow parks in the Alps – Snow Park Ursus. Along with appearing in the same valley Pinzolo, as well as lying in the vicinity of Folgarida and Marilleva and a little further Tonale, Folgaria, Peio and Andalo creates a 380-kilometer system of ski runs served by 140 lifts and cable under one common ski pass called “Superskirama Dolomiti”.

Madonna di Campiglio because of the position of a significant height and active all year round chairlifts is a starting point for mountain climbing. Moreover, in its origin a dozen hiking and climbing in the direction of the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello Massif.
