FOUR SEASONS TENTED CAMP, CHIANG RAI

In the heart of the Golden Triangle, at the confluence of the borders of Thailand, Laos and Burma, dense jungle hides an oasis of luxury. Built on the mountain path camp consisting of a magnificent tent, from which you can admire the view of the river Ruak, extending to the opposite shore up Burma and Laos. A visit here is an unforgettable adventure, where each successive day, according to tradition, the camp ends with a drink in the rays of the setting sun.

Location: Four Seasons at the camp can be reached from the International Airport of Chiang Rai within 75 minutes. Passing villages and rice fields, you reach the place where a long-boat cruise down the river begins. The camp can also be reached by traversing jungle in an all-terrain vehicle. Once there, guests go to their tents by paths among lush greenery.

Location of Chiang Rai province on the mountainous areas of northern Thailand provides a slightly cooler and less humid climate than prevailing in the southern part of the country.

Accommodation: along the mountain track on the kilometer-long 15 large tents with large terraces, with hand-crafted furnishings reminiscent of nineteenth-century expeditions.

Each of the tents about 54 sq. m. has a different arrangement, in all but a wooden floor, and their interiors are divided into a living area with adjoining bathroom and a sleeping area. The living area has a wooden desk, leather-covered chairs, windmills, standing mirror and binoculars allows the observation of birds. The luxurious sleeping area features one double bed or two single beds with mosquito nets and a bookcase with books about the culture, history and natural environment of the region.

In a combined living area open bathroom double placed, hand forged copper tub and shower. In a separate room adjacent to the living area there is a toilet and an extra tent next to the outdoor shower. Each tent has a spacious terrace with an area of ​​37 square meters, where there is a double holiday and two massage beds covered with a retractable roof.

Extras such as air conditioning and heating, appliances for making tea and coffee, wireless telephone and broadband wireless Internet access, a safe and a refrigerated private bar. Nothing to disturb your contemplation of the sounds of nature, the tents do not have TVs, DVD players or radios.

The accommodation is part of an all-inclusive package, which includes full board with alcoholic drinks, shuttle service to the airport, learning to ride on elephants and SPA treatment.

Restaurants in the camp there are several places where food is consumed. Breakfast is served at Nong Yao Restaurant serving Thai, Laotian, Burmese and Western cuisine. Bar called the country Burma, whose land can be seen from the windows of the premises. Decorated with elements of the travel inventory is a cozy place where you can relax reading a book on a comfortable sofa or admire the sunset.

Dinners may take the form of a ceremony, during which at tables set around a fire under a starry sky, torchlight and five dishes of Thai, Laotian and Burmese are available to choose from. Another attraction is resting near the elephants. In the cellar we accumulated a large selection of international and Thai wines. The wine cellar and bar Burma sunset serves traditional drinks. Guests electing to jungle lunch can be served at a picnic.

SPA object has two halls designed for spa treatments located outdoors. Thanks to the natural materials used in their construction perfectly blend with the surrounding nature. Guests can undergo traditional Thai massage and beauty treatments using mountain plants and warming herbs.

On request, massages are carried out also in tents. For an additional fee, you can take part in individual yoga class.

Sports and recreation: There is a jacuzzi pool surrounded by granite boulders, which offers a view of the river Ruak. From dawn to dusk poolside drinks and snacks. Guests can take part in activities prepared by the staff of the camp including learning to ride an elephant, a cruise on the Mekong River and visits to mountain villages.
