I’ve heard the opinion that St. Moritz is like a beautiful woman – she has as many admirers as critics. The second group is, of course, those who can not afford not to go to this charming resort, or the company of beautiful ladies. St. Moritz Winter Switzerland’s what St. Tropez in the summer for France – the best place for an elegant, crazy and endless party. The “beautiful and rich” play and rest here – movie stars, sheikhs, princes, businessmen, heirs of large fortunes, as well as representatives of the class neauveau rich. In a word, all those who succeed in life.

Until about 10 years ago St. Moritz was associated with an older clientele parading in furs and diamond jewelry for which the skis were secondary. Those days are gone; after the recent world championships in alpine skiing which took place here in 2003, the entire infrastructure for skiers greatly improved. All the facilities for them invested tens of millions of Swiss francs. The resort has countless snow groomers and snow cannons so that ski season here is considerably lengthened.

The beautiful scenery St. Moritz and the surrounding area, perfect slopes, bars with good music and champagne, act as a magnet for mountaineers of a joyful disposition and full of life . Even our friends behind the Bug are ranked as interesting. Do not be surprised if to welcome someone with the service you will be welcomed by us with the words “good regret in our gostinicu”. If you take us for Russians, do not lead anyone with an error. With the opinion of Russians, we were treated very well – it is customers who spend here the most. After the last tournament of polo on the frozen surface of the lake San Murezzan typed in an honorable way, we Poles give tribute to the history of this beautiful and illustrious resort. During my conversations with directors of local hotels, one of them was clearly surprised by the fact that it was under the Polish flag team who won the cup Cartier, and he did not know anything about our country. He asked only whether it is true that we drink so much we drink … Well … I said “un autre coup de champagne. SV P! “* Should uphold national traditions. Hard work, but after all someone has to do it.

I just love St. Moritz. Restaurant Marmite on top of the Corviglia which serves the best truffles and the wine list is really impressive. I would say that art would rather see St. Moritz restaurant-like fast food. The local waiters speak well of at least three languages, and the bartender at the hotelBadrutt’s Palace immediately guesses about what proportion of drinks guests about. By choosing to St. Moritz during the winter season, do not wait with the reservation of the hotel until the last minute. To avoid disappointment, trips in January and February should to be booked several months in advance. A very good way to economicly taste the delights of the Swiss Alps is to select the offer before the season, which is from late November until Christmas. We find then fluffy snow and empty slopes incredibly aligned. The discount stores start from the end of March or April (for equipment and ski clothes). You can then really go crazy and have even priced ski boots and a stunning suit of Bogner. St. Moritz verifies the saying “you pay and you get what you pay for”. It is not cheap, but it is beautiful and level. To understand what exactly attracts people from all over the world to this tiny town to be there just pick.

If someone likes music, engines and watching the latest models of extravagant cars, I would definitely recommend another sensational Swiss resort – Zermatt. In this hidden between the peaks village there is a complete ban on moving cars, and the only transport are electric toy cars and romantic carriages. Thanks to the unique location of Zermatt it has the longest ski season in the Alps. The village is located near the famous Matterhorn peak, which almost became its symbol. Spectacular mountain, considered the most beautiful in Switzerland, has several names – Matterhorn (Ger.), The Mont Cervin (fr.) And Cervinia (incl.). The sphinx of the Alps was an inspiration to many, including manufacturers of Swiss chocolate Toblerone.

That’s not to say the mountain is impressive, and it is best enjoyed from the windows of the HotelMont Cervin fairytale. The hotel was built in 1851, a few years later an outstanding hotelier Alexander Seiler was bought, and since then it is the “flagship” Seiler network. Hotel Mont Cervin proposes offers of a great program “Dine Around”, by which we can take advantage of 11 other chain restaurants Seiler as part of the paid-board at the Mont Cervin. In this way, spending a week in Zermatt, you can every day to go to lunch or dinner to another restaurant – from Mexican, through sushi, Italian pizzeria, and ending with traditional Swiss cuisine. The hotel is located in the heart of Zermatt, just off the main shopping and entertainment street. The number and variety of bars, pubs and discos in the town is able to satisfy everyone.

In all international rankings resorts in the Alps, St. Moritz and Zermatt are always on the top positions. Choosing there this winter, we have many options, thanks to additional air connections from Poland to Switzerland. Starting our journey in the morning, in the afternoon we will be on the slopes St. Moritz! Getting to Zermatt is slightly longer, but a great system of Swiss railways and unparalleled landscapes in themselves are an attraction.
